ABRA ID

ABRA ID is a design studio based in Istanbul and Cologne, founded by architect and furniture designer Başak Bakkaloğlu, interior architect and furniture designer Cem Cemal Çobanoğlu, and industrial product designer Umut Erkin Güngör.
The studio focuses on furniture and product design, while also offering consultancy services to furniture brands and design-focused events.

"ABRA" means "balance" in Turkish, and balance serves as the starting point for all ABRA designs.
This pursuit of balance guides the studio not only in the emergence of a design idea but also in shaping a meaningful interaction between the user and the design, and between the design and the space it inhabits.

ABRA has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and design weeks, including Milano Design Week, Dutch Design Week, Design Week Turkey, Istanbul Design Week, Design Spirit, and States of Materials.
ABRA’s works have been featured in many publications both in Turkey and abroad. The studio and its team members have received multiple awards in furniture and product design competitions, including first prize in the "Istanbul Is Yours – Urban Furniture Design Competition."
